Below you can find answers to some common questions. Please visit the "Travel" page for information pertaining to hotel stays and navigation. If you can't find the answers you need, please contact the mother of the bride at 224-587-4590.

Can I bring a guest?

While we wish we could include everyone, please only bring a plus-one if your invitation says "and guest."

What should I wear?

Our dress code is black tie optional, and while it is a formal event, don't be afraid to have some fun with your wardrobe. Men: suits and ties please, but no need for tuxedoes if you don't have one. Ladies: feel free to play with color and texture, and floor or ankle length hems are perfect. Please no denim or hats, and please don't wear white or cream. The bridesmaids will be in shades of green. If you need further inspiration, check out this board: https://pin.it/71hrxRHYW

When can I get a photo with the bride and groom?

We will be taking family portraits outside the church immediately following the ceremony. If you aren't family, please head over to the reception venue, where we'll be joining you for cocktail hour and will have plenty of opportunity for photos!

Where should I sit in the church?

We're not too worried about tradition here—sit wherever you're comfortable! We just ask that you leave the first two pews on both sides open for close family and fill the pews starting from the aisle.

May I take photographs during the ceremony?

While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.

What will the weather be like?

September in IL is beautiful, and we're expecting highs in the low 70s. Please note that our ceremony will be indoors and the reception will be covered, but outside.
